Marathon Training Week 3 of 18

Monday

16km today to start off marathon training week 3. It was sloppy, but felt good. I toured around Guelph’s west residential areas.

Tuesday

Another workout today, focusing on upper body and core work. It felt nice to just be in the gym. 6km built around my 5km running clinic’s workout.

Wednesday

22 km. I can’t emphasize how anxious I felt doing this run in the middle of the week. I had just picked up my Saucony Peregrine 7 shoes, which were extremely helpful in navigating the sloppy snow, though I still had some slush to contend with.

Thursday

Rest day! I ran just 3 km with the 5km clinic. I felt quite tired.

Friday

6km on the treadmill. Gym again for full body workout.

Saturday

Rest day!

Sunday
